From the other side, as founders, when did you switch everybody over from using their personal laptops to company laptops? A funding event? Certain size of the team?
- rdl 15y agoEven before paying for salaries, we buy hw for founders or employees as needed -- early on, pretty flexible (I got a desk and chair for home so I could wfh; cofounder got a new mbp 2011to replace a 2009, but since I have a 2010 personal, I didn't feel any need to upgrade myself. One of the big advantages of being a small startup is flexibility -- no need to have policies for stuff like this, just handle it on an ad hoc basis.
