Nope, we have surveillance cameras everywhere now, and thus we know the one-sided arrest and conviction rates are driven by the one-sided crime rates.

But you deserve to live in a city where people don't riot when kid gets hit by a car, and you deserve to live in a city where 0% of storefronts are looted, and where the looters would actually get prosecuted and serve time.
- evanelias 5y ago> we have surveillance cameras everywhere now LOL, you've clearly never been to Crown Heights. Think airplane security theater, not London-level omnipresent cameras. Last year de Blasio made a big stink about installing a whooping 100 cameras between Crown Heights, Williamsburg, and Borough Park. In combination, the population of these neighborhoods is over 400,000 people. > But you deserve to live in a city where people don't riot when kid gets hit by a car, and you deserve to live in a city where 0% of storefronts are looted, and where the looters would actually get prosecuted and serve time. I'd settle for a country where people don't riot when they lose a free and fair election. In the most severe US riot in 2021, the perpetrators were Republicans who violently assaulted law enforcement officers and ransacked the seat of our democracy. Many of them traveled from red states; I suppose these states must have severe social dysfunction?
