Ask HN: Does anyone have an archive of quirky.com?
I would like to read the text of an idea I submitted to quirky.com around 2014. At the time, quirky.com was a place where you submitted an idea and supposedly it got voted on and could become a product. The site was bad, the process didn't work, and they went bankrupt and were liquidated in 2015. A similar thing seems to be operating at the same domain now.
- pabs3 5y agoSome of it is on archive.org: https://web.archive.org/web/20140607001646/https://www.quirky.com/ https://web.archive.org/web/20140607001646/https://www.quirk... You can use this tool to download the files for the site: https://github.com/hartator/wayback-machine-downloader/ https://github.com/hartator/wayback-machine-downloader/
- foobarbecue 5y agoThanks. I didn't know about the downloader. My actual aim here though is to find the text of a submission I posted there and I'm guessing that's a lost cause :-( I bet that database is chock full of prior art that would be really useful for patent litigations. I wonder if they're selling it.
