Show HN: Streaming Raspberry Pi games to a Game Boy Advance
- lejboua 5y agoThis is a really cool project!
- rodri042 5y agoThanks man!
- hortense 5y agoVery cool. You are pretty close to being able to play Stadia on GBA :-)
- rodri042 5y agoI've tried Steam Link but it looks so bad at low resolution haha
- danparsonson 5y agoThat's really impressive! A couple of ideas for future developments: 1) stream an emulated GBA game to it, video that, then stream that video to the GBA, and so on, and see how many layers deep you can go before you reach the bottom of the dream 2) maybe with some electronic wizardry it would be possible for the Pi to act as a proxy for a modern console like a PS5?
- jrmg 5y agoAn RPi 4 with Chromium can reportedly connect to Stadia…
- Frenchgeek 5y agoNext step: reproducing the gamecube/gameboy-advance link in a pi native game?
- rodri042 5y agoThere's a mod available that uses the link cable as TV out (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3wUpKGbJ_I https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3wUpKGbJ_I)
- phreack 5y agoI just want to chime in and say I absolutely love the README. It's awesome when open source projects are so detailed that I end up learning so much just from their descriptions.
- rodri042 5y agoThank you, I'm glad you like it!
- alecakin 5y agoAmazing work and absolutely love the write-up and documentation. It helps people like myself learn and grow (especially in regards to reverse engineering) and it's so much better than a readme that says something to the effect of "here's the code - have fun" and the code doesn't have comments. I know it would have been so much easier to not include a readme of this detail so it's so awesome when a developer takes the time to share their knowledge at this type of quality.
- rodri042 5y agoThanks, I appreciate it! Part of the project's fun was discovering new things, so I thought it'd be the best to share it.
- juanmjacobs 5y agoThis is SO awesome!
- rodri042 5y agoThanks dude
