The author is wrong.

I think this is the essence of what he stands on, and where he primarily derives his reasoning from. But this was proved to be wrong many times already. No desire to repeat it again.
- jjeaff 5y agoThe only thing that was proven was that throwing truckloads of government cash at difficult problems creates innovation. I think throwing tons of cash at difficult problems that would actually directly benefit humanity would be even better. You get all the collateral benefits as well as the possibility of solving a real problem.
