Local government broadcaster, the ever more bloated and ugly NRK, have started using synthetic voices for translations and it is so jarring I cringe in my seat. Especially gross is it when you hear the passionate voice of someone crying out - I particularly remember this when Myanmar was on the agenda - and then that perfectly understandable English voice fades out and is replaced with this all-artifacts-no-emotion-at-all voice.
