The foreigners in China’s disinformation drive
- Clewza313 5y agoIf you're living in China and b/vlogging about it, you pretty much have to toe the official line. Two of the most famous vloggers self-censored themselves extensively, but not enough, and had to flee China on very short notice: https://www.quora.com/What-happened-to-SerpentZA-and-C-Milk-Did-they-get-deported-from-China-finally https://www.quora.com/What-happened-to-SerpentZA-and-C-Milk-... Of course, this doesn't excuse getting paid for posting about how Xinjiang is all just unicorns pooping rainbows, like these jokers in the BBC article.
- topspin 5y agoThis place certainly has its share of apologists.
- Proven 5y agoLOL what a bunch of sad, lying losers those vloggers are!
- holografix 5y agoNo doubt they either take the a financial incentive from the Chinese regime or receive “an offer they can’t refuse” such as make a video saying a, b and c or we’ll jail you and your family.

- dazsnow 5y agoNo doubt you're being paid by the CIA to post this.... dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb.
- anothernewdude 5y agoCan't wait for the comments here to get locked for breaking the rules. It's funny - if they want censorship all they need to do is send commenters to make toxic conversation and lock the entire topic.
- dazsnow 5y agoWhat a massively hypocritical article!
- commoner 5y ago> What a massively hypocritical article! You'll need to be more specific than that if you want to convince anyone.
