Even if that weren’t the case, saving a life takes precedence over almost all other laws in Judaism (exceptions are murder, incest, and idolatry), so it would be allowed under that.
- redis_mlc 5y agoWell, the reason pigs are not kosher is because they carry parasites/diseases that are dangerous in humans because of how similar pigs and humans are biologically (hence swine flu, etc.) (In my family, we accounted for that by cooking a few extra minutes on the infrequent occasion we cooked pork. I personally don't eat bacon.) So it's odd that one would get a transplant (raw pig organ) from a pig. Maybe somebody can expand on that.
