Will superconductors ever have an application in commoditized electronics? Or, will they always require specialized cooling equipment? Could such specialized cooling ever be commoditized/miniaturized?
Same questions apply for QC's, which seem to depend on near 0K temperatures to function.
- Red_Leaves_Flyy 5y agoThe hunt for room temperature superconductors has been going on for decades with quite a few notable achievements towards those ends. Even once we discover such a material it will take a long time before it is cheap enough for mass adoption in consumer goods as supply chains move at glacial speeds.
