This makes me want to have candidates sign a document that states they are there interview for their own personal employment; not hired or otherwise paid to interview with us for the purposes of intelligence gathering or promotion of products or services. I wonder how enforceable that would be. Probably, "It depends." As my lawyer friends would tell me. :-) I also wonder how many candidates would see that and perhaps question their application to our company.
