Chinese diplomat voices concern over Australia's human rights violations
- abbassi 5y agoChina is deeply concerned about Australia's serious human rights violations, a Chinese diplomat has said at the ongoing 47th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council.
- handmodel 5y agoI'm fine with some diversity of opinion on HN but I can't help but notice the majority of your comments involve pro-China news. The link you posted is from Chinese state media. It is comical for China to assert that Australia is weak on maintaining rights of individuals.
- AnIdiotOnTheNet 5y agoI get what you're saying here but isn't that just whataboutism?
- handmodel 5y agoIt seems like China's response is the definition of whataboutism. Australia has put out statements it is concerned China is forcing sterilization on millions of Uighurs. China responds by saying Australia has detained a couple dozen people who were part of Islamic terrorist groups. I would say one of these things is not on the same scale as the other (considering China also detains foreign combatants) and is putting out a statement to confuse.
- abbassi 5y agoIt is ridiculous to make up a story about sterilization with no evidence. It reminds me of anti-Semitic campaign by Nazis.
- verdverm 5y agoYou don't suppose that the CCP understands the value of manipulating HN conversations do you? Given the alt-right has thought of this... [reference needed, someone posted a link here to one of their forums where this idea was floated, i.e. if we manipulate HN, we can make them more conservative]
- abbassi 5y agoI am not a Chinese or a Chinese asset! Stop smear campaigns! You are fed with thousands of propaganda each day from US or EU side. Don't talk about Human Rights, or even transparency, I know Julian Assange!
- aurizon 5y agoYes, The structure of the UN allows 'voter herds' to be gathered to vote against various countries by other countries. Some say these votes are bought and sold......
