Netflix Hires Ex-Apple Executive to Lead Podcasting Operations
- throwawaysea 5y agoAs with Spotify and Apple, the last thing the podcasting community needs is consolidation, walled gardens, and a subscription model taking the oxygen out of the open podcasting world. Although this may seem like a natural expansion for Netflix or tech companies, I hope users take a stand and just ignore it. As an aside I am surprised Eaton is allowed to work at Netflix on podcasts, the very thing she worked on at Apple. I know California has laws reducing the power of non-compete clauses but this seems like a pretty directly related position.
