Isn’t this true of most companies?

Google has legal representation pretty much everywhere in the world, yet when I see engineering positions, they are mostly "anywhere in the US". For example, I feel like Oracle, IBM, or Accenture will be happy to hire you in a country like Slovenia, while companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple, etc. are more likely to force you to relocate to a place where they've got a large office. All of the above is my subjective perspective of course, I haven't worked for Google, MS, nor Apple. I'd love to know which big tech companies are happy to hire a remote-only engineer and let them work from their own country.
