  None of those things ever made any money. They survive thanks to constant equity raises and government subsidies. All Musk companies failed to produce profits or positive FCF, they were all sold to bigger fools who didn't look under the hood. At Paypal for example there wouldn't have been a hood at all if it wasn't for the board firing Musk and bringing in Peter Thiel. SolarCity exactly the same, solely the bigger fools now were the shareholders of the other publicly traded company which fails to make positive FCF
