Interesting - is performance comparable to Windows or is there a significant hit?
- Kim_Bruning 5y agoIt depends on the game, but of the ones I've tried so far, most are fairly comparable! Separately; GOG.com has a large selection of games that run Linux native; though not necessarily the most popular ones.
- creshal 5y agoIt also depends on your kernel, the FUTEX_WAIT_MULTIPLE patch solves a specific Wine/Proton bottleneck that native software doesn't care about¹, but delivers a significant performance improvement if compiled in. ¹: https://lwn.net/Articles/811696/ https://lwn.net/Articles/811696/
