This is missleading and is a straight up unnecessary disparagement of DHMO. Pure DHMO is perfectly safe to use around electricity. People have even built computers in an atmosphere of pure DHMO. Problems only arise if the DHMO is itself contaminated with something.
We should be placing the blame on the unseen actors and not the highly visible accessory.

- Covzire 5y ago^Truth, It blew my mind when my HS chemistry teacher dipped the ends of two wires connected to a battery and a bulb into a jar of DHMO and it didn't light up. Then I think he mixed in sodium or something and slowly it lit up more and more.
- GravitasFailure 5y ago>People have even built computers in an atmosphere of pure DHMO Shouldn't that be "hydrosphere"? Though Babbage's steam powered Difference Engine might count as making use of a "water atmosphere." And just for giggles, have a steam powered robot: http://www.crabfu.com/steamtoys/r2s2/ http://www.crabfu.com/steamtoys/r2s2/
