Why Windows Terminal renderer is slow
- AnIdiotOnTheNet 5y agoNot surprisingly, "software engineers" keep insisting that Casey is somehow wrong here without providing any tangible reason why. You can follow the saga on twitter: https://twitter.com/cmuratori https://twitter.com/cmuratori I find this whole thing pretty emblematic of some huge issues in modern development culture. People are confidently telling a seasoned, respected programmer who's had their hand in more code than most people have ever seen and who's been in the industry for longer than many of them have been alive that he doesn't know what he's talking about. That'd be ok really, if they could demonstrate their case, but of course none of them do. The state of software these days is abysmal and it's because of attitudes like what Casey is dealing with being pervasive. We should be collectively ashamed as an industry, but we aren't, because this industry attracts the kind of condescending know-it-all who has no shame.
