- deviledeggs 5y agoCOVID will always be with us. The terrifying levels of generic diversity among SARS like viruses in bats should have been a starker warning. The virus is highly zoonotic. Zoos are vaccinating all their felines, mustelids, and apes because this virus infects pretty much any mammal. Again, the virus family has shown remarkable genetic diversity in bats. That means we're screwed. It will do the same in humans given time Something something cats and bags. Dooooom
