I'm a bit more optimistic about the new TLDs, I hope multiple TLDs are created with a fairly generic name, .site or something, and domains sold for pennies each. While they will never be .com, these new TLDs will hopefully devalue .com and the other old TLDs, making the existing hoarded domains into more general use
