Heinz starts petition to make hot dogs and buns come in equal packs

- phnofive 5y agoBoth hot dogs and buns can keep for a long time at -20 C; perhaps if you collect 1000 ketchup bottle caps, Heinz would redeem them for a small chest freezer?

- 22c 5y agoProbably one of the most subtle things about this whole bit that I've only now noticed is that George takes 4 buns out of each pack of 12, but gets 3 packs. That makes for a total of 24 buns across 3 packs, instead of just buying two of the original packs of 12 buns.
- schoen 5y agoMaybe the only useful thing about the status quo is providing a familiar motivating example for many kids for the concept of least common multiple.

- salamandersauce 5y agoThis seems to be a Heinz Canada marketing stunt and I don't think they sell hot dogs here. Hot dogs typically come in packs of 10 here, although you can get bigger family packs.
- k12sosse 5y agoHeinz is dead to a lot of Canadians, especially if you live near Leamington.
- cout 5y agoAt least one other brand sells dogs in packs of 7 (Hebrew National).
- ToFab123 5y agoOf course they is. If the wieners comes in pack of 8, you need to buy 2 packs of 7 from Hebrew National.
- mmhsieh 5y agoi noticed that whole foods sells in multiples of 6 which kind of locks me into their hot dog brand, given than their brioche buns are pretty awesome. everyone else seems to sell in 8's.
- mikewarot 5y agoVienna Beef hot dogs and Mary Ann buns both come in packs of 8. They must be dealing with inferior brands.
