Overall it is a nice article about a group of species that deserve a lot more positive attention. However this statement is definitely false: > spiders are terrestrial, so you are not close to spiders when you are swimming! Several land based spiders can actually walk on water, because they are very light and their feet are hydrophobic. Even more amazing is that there are spiders that live underwater. They have hairs on their body that captures air. When you see them they look somewhat silvery, due to the reflection between water and air. They build nests under water. Because the young spiders also need air to breathe they continuously transport fresh air to their nests.
