(Especially trying to grow all of your community's food in West Texas!) But to the extent I'm interested in how you would build a community more than how you'd build a town, there are some interesting thoughts here about how you'd go about an intentional community if you didn't mind some reliance on modern industrial society (which is also true of the Amish farmers the author touts throughout)
