I have a patent for collaborative filtering. When the company I worked for decided to apply for a patent on the work I had done, I told them it wasn't patentable because of prior art. They told me to go along or be left off the application. I said OK. It's just one more thing for my resume. If someone gets patent reform that invalidates my patent, I'll be cheering from the sidelines.
