Law is a tricky one. I think there has to be a balance and all relevant local laws wherever the service operates should follow them.
- eimrine 5y agoThere is a way which is ugly as hell, but has already used these times. Some countries are forcing the big companies to be involved in local laws by coercion to open an official representation in their countries. That meens nothing good for citizen because good parts of American law are prohibited by local ones and vice versa. BTW, I would like to figure out what companies can be called "social media" and what ones can not. Because HN also might be considered as social media but it is so different that I have nothing to hate about it.
