Can soneone ELi5 „ Time series data tends to have a higher cardinality.“ … „ In that sense, there are few kind of metrics that are exactly the same; creating a file for each metric will cause various kinds of problems such as inode limitations.“
- clappski 5y agoThere's lots of individual data points in time series data, so having a high file:data point ratio would cause issues including running out of inodes, the identifying handle of a file at the OS level.
