- Bostonian 5y agoGetting fired hurts, whether it is by a human or an app. Nowadays there is much attention paid to equity and bias. Humans biases cannot be reduced but not eliminated. Maybe an app will be less biased and arbitrary. There are many line positions where continued employment depends on specific metrics. If you are a broker who does not generate sufficient commissions, a salesman with insufficient sales, or a proprietary trader who loses too much money, you will be fired.
