I always find ironic how the allegedly "communist" Chinese regime managed to create a system that basically has exploited workers for decades, in ways that are much worse than capitalistic countries. It really requires a lot of doublespeak to justify that.
- Proven 5y agoRecall that in (free market) capitalism one is valued at their market value. Which, for a worker, may not be very high (net present value weekly wage times 50 times number of years at work) but is still something. It beats socialism where people and their lives are worth nothing. Imagine if the CCP had to pay damages for lives lost in Mao's purges calculated the same way American firms get fined for customers who spill hot coffee on their lap. They would have gone out of business by 1946! The real question is why is this laziness celebrated in the West? I bet the answer is because it fits the "contribute nothing, and rightfully claim your BNI" narrative promoted by globalists and socialists in the West. As Covid 19 is slowly disappearing, they need to build consensus around the need or justification for continued handouts for people who simply want to get paid for doing nothing at all.

- emptyparadise 5y agoEither they have a brilliant plan for accelerating capitalism until its breaking point or the party cares more about staying in power than about their ideology. We can only imagine which one it really is!
