From the notice: https://www.audacityteam.org/about/desktop-privacy-notice/ https://www.audacityteam.org/about/desktop-privacy-notice/ It looks more like they want to get basic analytics info abut users, which means legally they need this notice, and also of course the govt may come after that data. I don't know if the feds can force you to collect info about users if your software didn't already.
- kzrdude 5y agoTheir way of writing it is very careless, including having "litigation" and "etc" in the sentence. It sounds like they can spy on you for their own purposes (collecting evidence against you) or based on copyright (copyright litigation) or basically whatever.
