Lesser-Known Programming Languages Worth Exploring (2016)
- smackeyacky 5y agoKotlin is lesser known? It's shoved in your face every time you open Android Studio and the only reason it seems to exist is to do an end run around that Oracle lawsuit.
- Zababa 5y agoMost comments on the article are for the 7 June of 2016, so it probably needs a "2016".

- SomeHacker44 5y agoAgree. And these are almost all familiar to me, at least in 2021.
- Zababa 5y agoI'd say Julia, Elixir, Rust and Kotlin have broken into mainstream, Agda, Nim, Idris, Pony and Haxe have their niche. Gosu is the only one where I know it only as a language and am not aware of people using it.
