Microsoft’s Windows 11 blue screen of death to become black
- accrual 5y agoI understand the desire to make the OS look more consistent, but in my opinion the BSOD should remain blue. It makes it rapidly obvious that something has gone wrong, and anyone who has experienced one before should immediately know there was an issue and they need to reboot. Now the BSOD is black to match the boot and login screens. In a room full of black login screens (maybe a lab or library) it won't be as obvious that one of them is down. With Windows being a champion of backwards compat, it would have been nice to see the BSOD continue on has it has for decades. I kinda liked the nice refresh it got in later versions of Windows, and at least it was still blue.
