True, but I also think this is showing a lack of imagination about where things are going. You're trying to say architecting is some big woo idea that's somehow different from writing code. Kind of, maybe. But I bet you could build a functional kernel with central design. Given that's how biological systems work, I'm sure it could be done. Then what say you?
