I can't speak for the definitions applied by LP of Colorado specifically but the general difference between real property and intellectual monopolies as they're currently applied is that any and all claims of real property are demonstrated through private contract and territorial defense. Intellectual monopolies necessitate the use of government force as a carrot for inventors and as a stick for everyone else (unless everything was done through blockchain).
- eevilspock 5y agoYou believe that private real property "rights" don't depend on government force?
- dragonwriter 5y ago> any and all claims of real property are demonstrated through private contract and territorial defense. Intellectual monopolies necessitate the use of government force a Private contract is just the kind of agreement that government has decided provides a basis for government force, so the distinction you are drawing even as you have written it is largely fictitious.
- mcguire 5y agoI don't suppose you could explain how to originate a chain of title solely through private contract? In other words, what does it mean that God didn't give a title to the original owner of a property?
