That might add an additional 1$ to the BOM. In quantity of 10 million, that's a lot of extra money for a feature that maybe 100 people will use.
Not arguing against the idea, just saying that the economics will never work in favor of this.

- WalterBright 5y agoThat's why I've suggested that every time you buy a disk drive, when posting a review, take off 1 star for no write-enable switch.
- tinus_hn 5y agoI suggest everyone who has a use for such a switch do that. But I think they already do that.
