Canada also has SimpleTax which is enough for the majority of young and poor Canadians filing taxes and is completely free (donation-based). Literally took me 30-45 minutes and I did most of it on my phone. I'm not sure if it's enough for people with homes/children/foreign income, but I do know you can make it work. I was a bit sad that they were bought out by Wealthsimple, but Wealthsimple has been a largely ethical and transparent company with all the services they provide, be it their investing platform during the GME debacle or their SimpleTax buyout. Hopefully it stays that way.
