- rendall 5y agoI know what you mean. There is a disturbing uncanny valley, filled with centipedes and Elder Ones

- xtiansimon 5y agoWhat’s creepy about AI images I believe can be traced to the inputs. Give an AI images of people and it doesn’t have the same sensitivity to its own existence to preempt what we meat puppets find shocking and gross.
- voldacar 5y agoYeah I know what you mean. I think "Lovecraftian nausea" is the best way of describing it
- handrous 5y agoMalfunctioning pattern-matching is a hallmark of mental illness, so it makes sense than any but a nearly-perfect "AI" system would often produce work that's creepy or off-putting, for that reason.
