I work for an equally big firm, any big changes planned by IT for the end of the quarter get shutdown ASAP so nowadays IT never plans anything for the end of the quarter. Even the end of a "simple" month is met with worries. I can't believe that in IBM the don't act the same Maybe they had to do it now after all the delays due to a different deadline ?
