Are you a California resident? The Carvana terms of use document[1] describes how to request the deletion of your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). The fact that they have a process to comply with CCPA requests suggests that they technically can delete personal information, but they're not going to bother if you're not a California resident.

- prirun 5y agoThey actually told me on the phone that they "were not able to delete my information unless I was a California resident". IOW, you're exactly right: they can delete it, they just won't.
