Taking objection to “FANG” Netflix engineer here. We’ve been hiring remote during the pandemic and have a permanent WFH policy in place. The policy includes pay tiers depending where you live, but the pay adjustment doesn’t take place until COVID WFH is lifted. I work on a team that, post covid, has engineers in two countries. I personally live in PHX and won’t be returning to the Bay Area. My salary is currently 100% what my Bay Area was, and will be adjusted down to 80% once the offices fully open.
