- wolverine876 5y ago> she "received some terrible comments and unsolicited DMs over it, but so, so much more support." That is so encouraging to hear. I am so proud of that community, and of the original poster for her courage. My hope, or dream or fantasy, is that I perceive behavior changing on the Internet. Perhaps society is learning the social rules needed for online forums, just like we all know the rules for restaurants, parks, movie theaters, public lectures, beaches, etc. Our parents told us those rules; they couldn't tell us the rules for the Internet for obvious reasons. What do you tell your kids?
- rainonmoon 5y agoThis community is always the one I point to whenever people air their disdain for Twitter. The mutual support from infosec Twitter is constantly on display, and further, there's no better place to find active and thriving discussion about this stuff. It's heartening seeing a collective statement like this.
