Maine Passes the Strongest State Facial Recognition Ban Yet
- Vecr 5y agoThe bill does appear to allow using facial recognition to identify someone in a picture if they committed a crime in another state where the crime could be punished by at least one year in jail. That could be pretty much anything, including something strange like searching through surveillance camera footage to find someone who borrowed medical weed in another state. Edit: Wait, I'm not sure I'm reading this right. How do semicolons work in Maine laws?
