Every baby boomer I know is in full "pandemic is over" mode. Same with older millennials that don't have kids. The only people I know that seem to realize it's still going on are parents with young children.
I have been saying all along that we will be dealing with covid forever. Maybe in the US it becomes an occasional hassle like the flu (more than a hassle if it kills you), but it's never going away.
This last year was one of the worst for me. Working and being fulltime with small kids during the pandemic was really challenging. What's the rush to eat in restaurants and not wear masks?

- schwartzworld 5y agoWe literally just had to keep our kid home from a week because a daycare worker who chose not to get vaccinated got covid and then came to work at the daycare. She was asymptomatic and went on to infect her whole family. It's not just about personal choice. Vaccinations are rolling out but little kids still can't get them. Why would I want to rush back to "normal" when I know so many young people who can't get vaccinated?
