Ask HN: What are/were the main bottlenecks preventing you starting a company?
Many people I speak to say one of the following:
- having the right idea
- financial security
- finding the right team
That said I increasingly think there are ways round each: especially the first and second because of incubators and funding, so I'm curious what people's reflective reasons are, especially people who see themselves starting companies some day but don't feel now is the right time.

- Gormisdomai 5y agoWould you say the main risk here is ultimately financial in your eyes? Namely that you won't be able to raise money to pay yourself a salary and then won't be able to find a new job or return to your old one?

- Gormisdomai 5y agoFor me it's almost certainly the risk to mental health - a lot of founders I know are chronically stressed, anxious or lonely, even the ones doing great work.
