Workplace is awful place to get involved into any of it. I understand when your first job is in this crappy call centre, where everyone is the same age and the only escape from the hellish routine is flirting and dating. But it gets more complicated further down the line. Office politics, competition, envy, and what not can quickly turn romance into a never-ending nightmare woth potentially lifelong consequences.

- jfengel 5y agoIt's a bad idea to solve a loneliness epidemic with workplace romance. Women in particular have a lot of things to worry about in an office, and the pressure to be somebody's solution to loneliness makes it even harder. There are a million ways to be un-lonely outside of the office, both romantically and platonically. And if something goes sideways, nobody's livelihood gets messed with.
