This is a very intelligent, articulate person looking deep into the issues. I'm glad he hasn't been kicked off of youtube, but it is a blow. If we can't have deep conversation about these sorts of things, with different opinions, then how will we ever solve problems when the approved solution doesn't work?
---
Secondly, I had a comment deleted by Facebook when I replied to my brothers questions about opinions on changes to lockdown where I live. I'll admit I was foolish to spend 40 minutes adding some opinions with nuance, but seeing it banned really does make me sit up and say, "What else am I not seeing?"
---
Being able to control the conversation is an incredible amount of power, and there isn't anyone I trust to do it.

Lastly, admittedly, some of the wild conspiracies are pretty crazy; I can see why we might want to limit their reach, but the approaches I've seen -- censoring people, or having a supposedly credible organization double-down on the message -- seem to be counter-productive, leaving the affected individuals more firm in their beliefs.
