All seriousness aside, I can think of a few things that would IMNSHO improve Office:
1) Make the title bar change color depending on whether the application has keyboard focus, so I can stop accidentally deleting things because I forgot Outlook/ Word/ Excel etc. had focus.
2) Get rid of the "backstage" distinction. I may need to refer to something on the "front stage" when using the "back stage", like the text of my document when I'm saving it for the first time. I can't do that now because of the "back stage", and the isolation of that "stage" does not help at all.
3) Give me back the menu system as an option. I STILL hate the Ribbon. Ok, I know you don't listen to users like me, so I know you won't do that. But at least allow me to hide the ribbon completely, like I could when it first came out. The ribbon has mostly commands that I don't need (can you say "Mailings"?), but when the ribbon goes into "reduced" mode it has even fewer commands that I need. In other words, it's useless, but it won't auto-hide.
