- Bostonian 5y agoI don't wish any individual with a disability ill, but journalists should not write misleading articles. I follow the chess scene closely and never heard of Jessica Lauser. No USCF or FIDE rating is mentioned in the article. She has a FIDE blitz rating of about 1700 according to https://ratings.fide.com/profile/2041049 https://ratings.fide.com/profile/2041049 , which makes her a typical club player, not a "chess champion".
