Introduction to Modern Statistics
- uniqueuid 5y agoFirst impressions: * It's free and open source! * It has examples in R * It makes heavy use of simulation, which I feel is a very good way to teach statistics. For most non-mathematical folks, this approach is much more intuitive than formal methods. * It is an introductory book. I'd expect modern statistics to contain multilevel (mixed) regression models and perhaps bayesian approaches, but that's left for other books. Fair enough.
