- nybble41 5y agoYou can have web pages that dynamically fetch data without XMLHttpRequest. For example, one technique is to dynamically inject a <script> tag referencing the URL of a server-side CGI script which collects the data and sends it back encoded as a call to a JavaScript callback function to be executed on the client. It's not as clean, and it can only manage GET requests—so the URLs need to be unique to prevent caching—but it works.
