What about old style Babbitt bearings
- KMag 5y agoYou're right. Plain bearings provide plenty of contact surface for thermal conduction. Though, thermal expansion will tend to increase clearance and decrease contact area (ignoring differences in thermal expansion between dissimilar materials).
