We're often in support of what would be considered the most extreme economic reforms because we have the clearest picture of the extreme effects that AI could have, especially in the medium to long term. Heck, even any mildly avid sci-fi reader should be able to see that capitalism as it exists today is totally incompatible with a fully automated future, unless we want a full return to feudalism.
